GIven the current state of testing, across all sports, and the history of doping within baseball, it's surprizing that this seems to be returning to greater prominence now. Ever since the EPO fiasco, the testers have done pretty well at staying ahead of the dopers - it's difficult to imagine anyone falling for the 'it's something new - they'll never find it' argument. On the contrary, the likelihood of getting caught is higher now than ever. Gambling, of every sort, is clearly an issue for the sport - whether that's gambing on games, or with contracts and careers...
