I like the city grid. I'm not keen on the hats, and will withhold judgment on the blue tone of the tops. Could potentially work. As for the hats, should just be navy with a block W.

When I saw the thread title, for one awful moment I thought the blossoms were back...I assume the new design is so that any player who gets lost can use his jersey to navigate back to Nats Park?...

When I lived at the "Daley At Shady Grove", I did like that the decor matched the DC Metro lines. It was my confirmation that I moved into an "upscale" place. So I guess there is some sentimentality with the new design for me personally, but at the same time.... I ain't paying for that crap. Also, the hats suck.

The interlocking DC looks dumb though, when they had a perfect interlocking DC before.

The font is bad. Why not just use the font from the early DC days?
Upward facing 3D (drop shadow) makes it look like you are looking down at the logo, which is the most dubious 3D selection. But fine in isolation maybe.
For some reason, the C bends BEHIND the 3D of the D. This is idiotic, makes the C look warped, and is just bad practice. You are supposed to take the C behind the D but NOT behind the 3D. This is standard.

The City Connect concept is a big miss for me leaguewide. Why do we even need an extra ugly uniform. These are fine I suppose, but why?

most clubs have alternate unis. This is just a theme for alternate unis league wide.

Just another way to squeeze more money out of the fan-base. Your typical EPL soccer club now has the home shirt, away shirt, third shirt, fourth shirt, training shirt, pre-match shirt, cup competitions shirts, special events shirts...

Well yea. It’s all about the money. Other leagues do this also with different jerseys and such. The city connects must have generated more revenue and so they will come up with another version.
