It's OK to have an April swoon when there's been absolutely nothing in the rearview mirror for 3 months.  Going in hot is reassuring for we the fans but I suspect the players and coaches view this like besbol spring training.

This isn't a swoon tonight...this is a full on stroke...

I'm really lookin' forward to the Caps/Habs matchup...I think that will be great theater...

Hope LT is back soon...

Nice show of respect by the Penguins fans. Quite unexpected.

Looks like Protas is a scratch.

Gotta say, Caps picked a bad time for the injury bug

I don’t think they were counting on Backstrom and Oshie.

They really needed that goal after dominating the period.  No matter what the announcers said about Montreal going ahead on shots.  Caps have dominated the scoring chances.

I expected goals were 1.52 to 0.4.  Corsi percentage was almost 63 percent for the Caps.  Can’t let them hang around.

I would have thought it even more lopsided.  They need to just bury them in the second...take away their will to play like they did in the first...fast and hard...

20 hits!

You guys are lucky to be able to miss the ESPN broadcast.  Especially PK and Messier in the studio.
