Just leaving the pool now. Still nothing, but the threat kept people away

completely messed me up today. Didn't want to be caught too far on foot. Was going out around 11 or so but felt drops so didn't stray too far.

No tornadoes but was 97 today in Orlando. Luckily our governor passed some laws to outlaw global warming.

Gardening and the pool today. I’ve never seen so few people at the nursery this time of year.

Not looking good for the game tonight...appreciate a heads-up if you hear they've called it...could save us all or part of 3 hours coming back to the Fashionable West End of Henrico County during NOVA rush hour(s).

Today is 4:00 pm start I think.  They will probably wait a long time before cancelling.  Tough if you have tickets.

MLB has the call on this ..not the Nats as is generally the case prior to the game starting...due to Mets travel to London.

That is all kind of silly since the Mets don’t play until Saturday. And the flight is not much longer than one to the west coast.

The Mets fly Delta so they'll probably have to put down in Shannon due to broken lavs.

They probably didn't want to pay for an extra day in hotels by playing a 1:05 game today and getting there before noon tomorrow...

And now one near Aberdeen. I’m on a train coming back from New York and as we passed through that area everyone’s phone went off with “take shelter now” warnings.

Tornadoes in Poolesville & Gaithersburg tonight.

Touched down a half mile from my son's house in Poolesville and passed within three miles of my house in Gaithersburg. Quite a night.

yikes. I haven't seen if there was a confirmed tornado near Aberdeen. Warnings said it was radar indicated. I figured we aren't getting the kind of tornado in Maryland that could topple a train, but there is a pretty long bridge over the Susquehanna near North East MD that I'd rather not be on during a tornado. :)

It was a full blown funnel with debris swirling around it.  I mean, it didn't look like a Kansas tornado, but it definitely touched down and ripped stuff up.

Oh wow - I thought the screaming phone alert was just 'There's stuff in the area,' especially when I read other posters talking about them in MD. I didn't realize one actually touched down here.
