Good inning, Nats...Giants on 2nd and 3rd but no runs...and a smooth sliding catch by Lane.

If any one recalls I was very concerned about Nite Train Lanes production after being dropped to the 2 hole. I was a little premature it seems.

I'm struggling to understand how the Giants have won so many games this year.

This is not an earth shattering observation but Gore doesn’t throw enough strikes and that is why he has 18 pitches plus per inning. Even his K’s are close to a full count. I don’t know if he can change things around as he matures.

All Adams does is hit and all we do is keep him on the bench

Every once in a while I start thinking that maybe we’re NOT the worst team in baseball.

For a guy who can't play SS, Abrams is pretty good :couch:

I don't think Abrams' defensive issues are from a lack of talent. He's young, and tries to make all the dramatic plays. Whether it's the adrenaline rush or whatever, it causes him to overthrow the ball. He'll get better as he matures and gets better control and judgment.

Young Bryce also had problems with trying to go balls to the wall all the time, and might have shortened or ended his career prematurely colliding into the wall, but he also matured.

This freakin Willingham experiment should end before the game ends. Send him to Wilmington. This dude is nowhere close for the show.

If he gets traded they had better get a really good prospect or two. Otherwise keep him.

And it looks like the Yankees will want to tear it down, rather than being open to trading prospects for Jeimer and Lane.

In all, let Keibert sit an extra day per week and start Riley instead
