I’m guessing they’re leaving him there for the moment because they want him to avoid Wilmington?! I wonder if they’ll send him to directly to AA after his stint with the Freddies. Even if he does hit Wilmington, I bet his stay is super short.
One step at a time. There is only about a month in the season left at those levels. I have no problem keeping him in Wilmington till end of the year. Has been a long season for him mentally and physically. Then see how it goes in the Spring.
I wanna see him at Wilimington. I wanna see him get frustrated. Want to see how he reacts.
eastern league also depresses offense. Can try the bump to AA in September. If it clicks, fine, start him there next year. If it doesn't, Wilmington.
AA ends Sept 18. Give Crews another homestand in F-Burg. If he's still raking, send him to Wilimington. Let him sit there for three weeks and see if he changes his approach. If not, give him the last week and change in Harrisburg. Not to for performance but to see what he does against the pitching.Could also rest Wood that last week and send Wood to the AFL.
Crews: 5-for-5 with two homers and 6 RBIs. Send him to Wilmington now. He has mastered A. Then let him finish at Harrisburg.
that would mean moving Hassell, Young, or Wood up to Rochester.
Young has had a respectable season. Let him rise to Rochester. Hassell and Wood need to work on AA pitching.
.381 BA, .422 OBP, .738 SLG, 1.160 OPS. So far
So he's playing as if A ball is the same as the SEC. Time to move him to Wilmington...or Harrisburg.
Whoever manages this twitter account seems to believe the thing about Wilmington that we've all discussed on herehttps://twitter.com/NexGenNats/status/1691461133759299586?s=20with this note included in a subsequent tweet:"There's no baseball reason for Crews, Morales and Pinckney to be in Low A right now. Bryce Harper went straight from Low A to Double-A in 2011. Rendon only played nine games there. House barely played at Wilmington this year. Etc."
As for the "skip Wilmington" approach, let's start a hash tag #FreeTJWhite.
I see it talked about all the time, but why exactly is Wilmington such a bad place for hitters?
So is he saying they should have all gone to Double A after a week. I hope they turn into Harper’s or Rendons. Have no problems with them spending the rest of the year in Wilmington. It’s only a month. The expect them to start in Harrisburg next year.
