Max wants to know what the Mets plan. He's unhappy, and he has a big contract, but the Mets not be able to trade him unless they pay most of his $43 million salary for next season. Poor Max. They held a gun to his head and forced him to sign with the Mets for hardly any $. I guess those four home runs he gave up to the Padres in that wild card game last year are really eating at him.
I get the impression that Max is struggling with the reality that age is finally catching up with him. He's also voiced his displeasure with some of the rule changes, too.
Erick Fedde continues to be one of the top pitchers in Korea. The 30-year-old former Washington Nationals hurler is 14-2 with a 1.74 over 17 starts with the NC Dinos. He tossed seven scoreless innings in his most recent outing for the KBO club.
