Dropped to .396 after last night's game with Harrisburg.

I have hated the Baltimore Orioles for almost 70 years, or ever since they millionaire owners dragged the Browns to territory that belonged to the Nats. Only good thinghs about the Baltimore team?

- They dumped Roy Sievers to the Nats even before they thought of Spring Training 1n 1954. Roy was the inspiration for Joe Hardy, "Shoeless Joe from Hannibal Mo", the power guy who started hitting home runs. Baltimore got Gil Coan, who was never any good.

- The over-rated Baltimore team lost to the Mets in the 1969 World Series.

- Baltimore took a two-games to none lead in the 1971 Series and the Pirates beat them

- Baltimore broke the MLB record for consecutive losses.

My reasoning is the O's are basically a lock for the playoffs while there's still a chance for the Phillies to miss it. If the records were reversed I'd root for the Phillies to knock off the O's.

Gotta root for Baltimore. Hopefully we sweep Colorado and the Mets and can set our sights on catching the Phillies!

More likely Colorado sweeps and overtake the Nats.

O's > Phils.

Not gonna say whether that's greater horsebutts or easier to root for.

I'll root for Turner and Schwarbs, and enjoy Gunnar and Santander. Always liked seeing Santander turn into a player. Sort of their Thomas.

The O's just took 8 of 11 from the Rays, Yanks, and Jays. 8 of those games were on the road. I got a bad feeling that they are going to win it all this year. That would suck.

I can't believe I'm saying it, but at this point, that might be one of the more preferable options.

Peter the Terrible is now a decrepit fleshsack. They could have a victory parade at the Inner Harbor and I'm not even sure if he'll know where he is.

As for Woes fans...they seemed to have learned their place after the 2019 and they've been in baseball purgatory long enough, so I could let them have this one.

Two of the most likely alternatives at this point are kicking off a Braves or Astros dynasty, and those are two options I find completely unpalatable. The Rangers winning isn't a nightmare or anything, but they are a stolen team and Dallas sports fans are about as likeable as an alcoholic Uber driver who talks too much.
