I don't think Fields is a lock or anything but the Zach Wilson hype was stupid and I think the narrative that Fields is lazy/system QB/etc. seems unfounded. The Bears got the gift of the draft.

Even if he has potential...the Bears will break him...the same way the J E T S broke Darnold.

I will give the kid this...he's pretty pissed that he fell to 11, and likely would have fallen further if the Bears hadn't traded up to get him.  Hope that chip stays on his shoulder...like it did for Rodgers...

The bigger mystery to me is how Trey Lance moved up. He just has not played much football.

Adam Schefter should be fired and blackballed from the industry...

So Vince Wilfork 's kid was accused of swiping 300k of jewelry from his dad, including his SB rings. Which begs the question, who has $300k of jewelry?

Green Bay’s over/under win totals have been pulled from boards at the Sportsbooks because they are reportedly planning on a retirement announcement.

I wonder if Rodgers was offered the Jeopardy gig. He expressed a few times that he wants it.

He isn't even in the top 3 of the best guest hosts, as far as I'm concerned, but he got better by week 2 so I can see where he can improve

His week 2 was night and day compared to his week 1. He was one of my favorites. Who did you think was the best? I also liked Gupta, Jennings and Mayim Bialik. Anderson Cooper was good, but I don’t like him for the full time gig.

I thought Anderson Cooper was by far the best but talking on TV is what he's used to. But I agree with you that he shouldn't be the full time host. I thought Mayim Bialik was excellent and I was surprised at how good Savannah Guthrie was. I was expecting Guthrie to be poop. I would pick Bialik as permanent host. I also expected Jennings to be bad but he was actually pretty decent.

Gupta was total crap.

Rodgers is a complete a-hole and the fact that he's celebrated as "aaron being aaron! lol drama!" just shows what a double standard the NFL has.

rodgers holds team hostage: "well you know he's aaron rodgers, to be fair green bay should treat him like the GM"
star running back/WR/LB/DB holds out or asks for new deal: "this guy is selfish, and a stain on humanity and the world."

I think it has more to do with the fact that the value of a high quality NFL QB is pretty much infinite. Everyone else is pretty fungible. I don’t think that Russell Wilson or Deshaun Watson (pre abuse allegations) took much heat for saying they wanted out either.

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose...athletes still think they're above all these medical/physical conditions that affect ordinary humans.
