Because they dont. The same core didn't care for Williams.  They didnt care for Dusty in the playoffs. They don't care for Martinez.

This has been my point all along. It doesnt matter who the manager is. A freaking monkey could manage this team and it might be a difference of three games. The players cant stay healthy and the ones that do dgaf

Don't act like this is new. Sure blame Dave for not fixing this problem, but its been present way before him.

I got to be honest, I haven't ever felt this bad as a Nats fan. Not even after game 5 loses. I feel like I give a freak more than the players not named Max or Soto. Glover gives a crap too I guess.

While Martinez is overmatched, let’s not pretend Rizzo doesn’t year after year build a lousy bullpen.  Or sign guys who are lousy contact hitters.  Rizzo needs to go with Martinez..come to think of it the Lerners too.

Instead, they were overmatched by Zach Eflin. Trea Turner, the one guy who was making things happen, now has a broken finger. Nightmarish start to the season.
