In the post game conference last night, I swear he said Turner "will not be playing tomorrow".   

EDIT:     Looked it up and he said, "There's a good chance" he won't play tomorrow (Tuesday).    Sorry, didn't mean to water down the wishy washy theme of dave.

Nats season is over before August. Nobody saw this coming. Very somber feeling. We all thought they would flip the switch. Go on a tear. It’s not happening.

UP 4-0 in that ballpark against that lineup, with the Nats lineup struggling the way it has, you add on runs any way you can. Yet Davey still won't play small ball.

Not going to happen. If they were going to make a move this year would have been a few weeks ago. And Rizzo, like anyone else, will not easily admit to a mistake. I think the lesson learned is it was a mistake to keep Harper this year when little chance to sign him. Bad for him and the team. And they will blame injuries of course.

Agree. Would take a player mutiny to cause that to happen.

I get 'em twice.    :hang:    I'll listen to JH and Uncle Ray, which usually include dave's post game "interview".    Then I head to bed and turn on the radio.     About the time I crawl into bed, Jags or Charlie go to the replay of dave's post-game presser.

I would give serious consideration to hiring Werth as a 1st base coach next year.  He can count to 3 and can read a stopwatch, and that's 90% of that job.  Having him around the clubhouse would probably settle some of the guys down. 

I don't think there's any chance the Nats fire Davey this season.  There's no upside to it.  Whether he makes it back to West Palm in February is another story.  My bet is that they give him a second chance and blame this season on injuries.
