The point is that multiple players are barking at the umps in multiple games. The manager is allowing the players to shift blame for their own poor performance.
Rendon did nothing. Trea is Bryce's protege. Dusty never did anything about Bryce's temper even after multiple occasions.

I was talkin' to some folks in the parking lot at the golf course today.    I told 'em, "I'm afraid the Nats are gettin' a reputation with the umps."

Looking out to the next Mets series, by starting Cole on Wednesday instead of last Monday, that lines up Scherzer and Stras to pitch against Colorado, and the bottom 3 starters to pitch in NY against the Mets next week.  If they had given S&S an extra day and kept Cole on his 5th day, then Stras would be going in NY.  Had they slotted in Hellboy tomorrow against Colorado along with Cole on 9/15, then we could have had both Scherzer, Stras, and Gio lined up for the Mets, with all on an extra day's rest.
I don't think the camel wrangler is even capable of this kind of thought even you would be a better manager at this point lol he's busy with ideas of starting Harper leadoff so he can get 5 abs

There is some logic to this. Had he sprained an ankle and been out for 4-6 weeks, Davey would have (deservedly) taken heat for letting him steal.

Remember when Scherzer was hurt last season and the result was he started one game in a five game series?

TBH i'd bat harper leadoff. give my best hitter the most chances to do damage. wish more teams did this. the yankees bat judge 2nd almost every night

Back to this camel business. Give Bryce 500 over 10 and he will play right field riding a camel......unless there are ground rules prohibiting  such

Good call. As far as I am aware, there is no actual rule in MLB that prohibits players from receiving assistance from beasts of burden while a game is in progress. I could be wrong, just sayin'.....For that matter, Harper could bat while on the back of a camel, too.

Dodgers are 4-7. Don’t think they are panicking either.

Last year Rendon had a higher OBP. I’d bat him first and Harper 2nd using your logic.

van Lingle mungo, he could even include camels in his hair contract........what if Bryce starts suffering male pattern baldness ? Does he then sign a deal with The Hair Club or partner with Mr.Ray (when Mr. Ray gets out of prison) I also hear there will be a pack of camel cigarette night give away coming up but some left wing anti cancer crusaders are trying to stop it

They have a history of being successful, not of being chokers.  This fanbase wears tin foil hats for a reason.

It's still early, but this series could have an impact on our wild card chances, Martinez better start taking these games seriously.

They also have a history of let down seasons after their playoff seasons. The Mets look good right now, it seems likely that either Harvey or syndergaard will get injured, hopefully it happens before they pad their lead more

Really?? You're hoping that injuries to another teams players will right our ship?

Except last year. So two seasons of let downs and one of no let down. Quite the history.  If they still suck end of the month I will worry.

It seems to be taking Dave only a few weeks to sink to the top among our lengthy list of manglers. Wonder why he saved Gio to start against those LHP-hitting Rockies.

I think Dave Martinez would make an excellent assistant for Dusty.

What was the primary reason Dusty was let go? Failure to understand/use "analytics"? Couldn't get us "over the hump"? Too old to relate to "today's" players? Wanted a raise?

He just did that with Madden. What would he learn from Dusty?

Dusty is gone. Get over it folks.

This. Madden is an elite level manager. He's going to end up in the HoF for his managerial record. And you all want Mr. 0-10 in series clinching games

No, definitely not. He'd want to get paid more than he would have taken originally, but Baker still wants another shot. Since he knows the team he's the only person who can walk in that clubhouse and demand immediate respect and quickly put things back in order.

Call Martinez an interim manager, let him take his $1.8 million and go.

It's our best chance to save the season but I don't see the Lerners admitting their mistake.
