there's a certain chemistry factor with Murph that seemed good for other hitters. there's also the bigotry stuff but that didn't seem to be a problem. I'm sure Murph wants to start though.

Really...  :smh:

I think he's talking about the Murphy from Seinfeld (Madison Square Garden).

Then you shouldn't want Adams, either.  His 2017 to 2018 drop was pretty steep too.
Probably biased because he hit better with the Nats. Looking at his stats he is up and down. Seemed more comfortable coming off the bench one or two days a week. Probably better choices out there.

What's Rendon's extension look like?

If they extend Rendon it will undoubtedly bump us 2019 salary beyond current projections. So less money for it her needs. I think they need to get it done. I could see it negatively affecting him during the season if not done.

Don't think I would have taken Corbin in lieu of Harper.

They really needed a starter to anchor the staff down the road. Max won’t last forever and Strasburg is unreliable.

We should take advantage of Arizona’s fire sale and get Grienke.

This article said $22-26 million per year.  He made $12 million plus in 2017. Not sure what he will
Make without an extension. $18million?

Not sure why I had $25M on my mind (looks a little high after actually typing it)  ....   maybe 6 years takes him to 35-ish.

He will probably hurt his arm. Move to first base. And be out half of every season. You know the drill.

Seriously seems like better money than on Harper even though Bryce has more power. Third base is so important defensively.

I bet all the Indians might trade one of their starters chatter is really just them wanting to trade Bauer while his value is high.  Kluber would cost a ransom.  Carrasco just re upped.  Bauer it is.

Guys...Rendon is not that good. Plus, his name auto corrects to Tendon every time I try to type it. That tells me he is due for a major injury.

Science, people!!!

Disagree. He's a helluva hitter in this pitching-dominant era. Nats need all the offense they can get. His injury history is concerning to me but ... much less than Strasburg's.

Unlike this post, Rendon doesn’t whiff.

Why do people say Rendon is injury prone?

He had the knee and oblique injury in 2015, but in his other full seasons he’s played 153, 156, 147 and 136 games.
It’s unclear to me how that is even in the same convo as Strasburg.

Because he got hurt in his early years so that's what people think.  Same reason they believe also sorts of fake news.

Folks still think about the draft as well.

Among the questions: Why did Rendon, rated by Baseball America as the No. 1 prospect in the entire draft, fall all the way to No. 6 after spending much of the previous 12 months as the prospective top pick? And if his two previous ankle surgeries and a more recent shoulder injury — the latter of which limited him largely to designated hitter duty this season — were the main reasons, how satisfied are the Nationals of his health?

Bigotry? Really... the dude just doesn't think it's right for other dudes to be smoking pole. They asked a question, he answered. Let's not be kangarooy about the whole thing. Unless you're one of those types that believe that any opinion that doesn't align with your own should be silenced.

Am I gay? abso-freaking-loutly not. Do I care if other people are? Not one god damn bit. My opinions are mine, and mine alone. They should only affect me and how I chose to live my life. I don't ask others to live by my rules, and damn sure don't want to live by theirs.

Don't ask the question if you're gonna be butt hurt with the answer.
