I could see Dave using the excuse that he's riding the hot hand to keep Adams/Reynolds in games for a while, maybe use Zimm as a defensive sub. He has no history with Zimm.

However, Zimm does have a history with Rizzo and the Lerners.    Zimm could be the new Werth.

Wasn't Zimm batting over .300 for the two weeks before he got injured? Why are we assuming that he is washed up? Or for that manner, assuming that Reynolds/Adams will maintain their level of production?

Because he's making tons of money and is extremely popular with fans.  Zimmerman is going to start, regardless of what the small number of malcontents believe should happen.

Actually, I would think the majority of savvy baseball fans recognize that Zimm adds little or no value to this team anymore.  It's only the fanbois that want to see him back in the lineup...

Eat the salary and concentrate on winning something more than a Division Championship...

Small sample size...he was hitting .217 / .280 / .409 / .689 for the season before he got hurt...again...

Well there you go with your "attitude" again. If I think Zimmerman should not start, why does that make me a malcontent?
(And I would question "small number".  I can't think of anyone besides you who thinks he should start.)

For me, it's not washed up so much as Reynolds/Adams are producing.    Why mess with it?     Though I do have recurring nightmares about Zimm makin' the throw to home Reynolds made last week or Zimm startin' a 3-6-3 double play.

The universe of WNFF is entirely different than the entire universe of Nats fans. Think of that however you like, but it's definitely the case. The majority of people in Nationals Park are not clamoring for Zimmerman to be jettisoned.

OT   Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeriste I hate the term malcontent.    I had a "boss" one time, in a conference call, referred to some of us as malcontents.     If I could have reached across a table and gotten my hands around her neck   ....     :)

The majority are in line to get dainty pastries or craft beer.     :couch:

There was another word I was thinkin' of but couldn't get my fingers to type it.    Next thing ya know, I forgot the word.

EDIT:    Maybe it was "designer pastries"?         It had a "d" in it.

His whole season is a small sample size. 33 games. The first half was crappy. The second half has been good. Both very small samples. I am not sure why you would believe one over the other. I just expect all these guys to trend back toward their career norms and actually level of talent.

It appears that "murderous underling" fits you better than malcontents. :)

You might not like my attitude, but there's a reason that there are a bunch of posters on this board with 10,000+ posts and very few others, and I've only been posting here a month.

Would you be happier that I said many here are highly neurotic instead of a malcontent?  Seeing as the Nats' record for May is what, 17-6, and that's with a bunch of starters on the DL?  Most still are not happy because a middle reliever walked a guy or a batter struck out when you think they shouldn't have.

Well, you got that all figured out pretty quickly.    Now you can work on the trade deficit.

It used to be a much more livelier place. Lots of people have moved on to sucking off hobos for coke money and working dead end DC Vortex sheeit jobs playing cuck dad in real life instead of posting here. The Nate’s have also become the Caps so any excitement for these guys after 2012 are all tempered by the understanding they can and will crap themselves during the playoffs.

Too bad my VCR has a copy of you sucking off the remaining living members of Warrant stuck in it or I’d hop on Amazon and order the whole serious.
