Soto is an everyday player - much more than a DH
he's Michael Jackson when it comes to fielding.

Simple solution: Re-sign Bryce Harper to a one year deal, pay Ryan Zimmerman 25 million to retire and work for the Nats' front office, move Soto to first base, have an outfield of Harper/Taylor/Eaton, trade Robles to the Yankees for Severino and Betances.

Everyone wins

It's just like in golf your driver is going to have less loft than your 3-wood, allowing you to stay under the wind to garner more distance.

It's the tree limbs for me.

he was batting .500 with a 2.500 OPS before his debut.

So what I'm hearing is that he never really lived up to expectations since his debut, and now he might be 24 years old I heard?  And he may be operating under an alias?  I think we should trade him while his value is high, don't we need a 3rd closer?

Harper wants $400,000,000.  If we're going to pay him $400,000,000 for 1 year, we might as well keep him for 10 years.  Maybe in year five he breaks out of his slump.

Seriously, if he turned out to be 24, I'd still say outstanding.  If he's 29, then I'd say he's Kevin Youkilis with power.

@MarkZuckerman
Per @baseball_ref, Juan Soto was the 1st teenager to bat cleanup in an MLB game since Cesar Cedeno in 1970, and only the 10th since 1922. Among the others who did it: Brooks Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Mel Ott, Rusty Staub, Ed Kranepool.

I’ve heard Marty McFly as of late, since he’s a time traveler.

VaRK has been hacked by hammmondsnats. But shouldn't we wait until we know his real name before giving him a nickname?

QFT.

If gravity were the ONLY force acting on the ball then 45 degrees would be the optimal launch angle, as gravity is a conservative force and only pushes the ball down and does not change depending on the balls path...friction and wind are non-conservative forces and change based on the path taken, humidity and temperature aren't actually forces acting upon the ball but influence the friction coefficient.

It's just like in golf your driver is going to have less loft than your 3-wood, allowing you to stay under the wind to garner more distance.

Sounds right Mutt.

With respect to friction, aside from wind, altitude, temperature and humidity are next most significant, in order.  Washington scores high (meaning further ball travel) in temperature and humidity in the summers, but sea level works against home run carry.
