First game, first AB, first pitch, first homer.

Stuff of legends.

Legends like Jordan Schafer, Tommy Milone,  Jason Heyward, Guillermo Mota, Dustin Hermanson, Brad Fullmer, and J. P. Arencibia? Well, maybe not first pitch, I can't remember that, but its actually really common for people to a hit a HR in their first AB, and isn't a good predictor of anything. Like others have said, his 3 walks are MUCH more impressive.

He already had a better approach against a slopballer than any Nationals in 5 seasons. I'm buying in.

Yeah the walks are very impressive as well, especially for a 19 year old. So much poise and patience at the plate.

If we make the playoffs this year, he should be on the roster. Kid looks like October wouldn't phase him unlike 90% of the roster.

Usual “it’s early” caveat. Still fun to see that number.

Wally Moon.    There's a blast from the past.   I'll always remember him on the late night Pirates/Dodgers broadcasts from The Coliseum.

Mom, "Do you have your radio on?"

Me, "No, why?"

Either that or the batteries are run down in the morning.    The old transistor is under the pillow.

I saw him manage in A ball back in the 90s.  He was recognizable even then by the insane unibrow.

Shrug. He's getting on base. Maybe with Eaton coming back they want to see what they've got here.

We initially traded for Eaton to be our CF.  I'm guessing the OF is Soto/Eaton/Harper with Goodwin and Turner getting a lot of playing time and acting as defensive substitutes.
