Love Bryce.

Love Goodwin.

Hate Difo's hair.

Hate Tanner's extra LBs.

Well, Tanner is planning on keeping his strength for the post-season so he's coming in a little heavy now.  He has to stay strong so he can pace back and forth in the dugout when the manager elects not to use him again.

Even if Murphy and Harper (and their salaries) go. The Nats will likely go out and bring in a FA or two to fill the gaps. Just like they did with Murphy.

The nucleus is too strong to just let the window close because a few players walk. I wouldn't be surprised if Harper and/or Murphy recognize that and re-sign. Why leave a top contender to try your luck on the open market? Harper has a good thing going here. I know he seems to relish the big stage and the biggest name he can get on the front of his jersey, but Murphy is more beloved here than he ever was in NY.

I understand the emotions and letdowns, obviously since I'm a fan myself that watches almost every pitch all season and has been crushed by the postseason losses.  But I don't think the bad breaks and close call meltdowns of the past have any bearing on what will happen this October.  Davey is bringing a fresh mindset, and I think that helps these guys.  In sports, you're a "choker" until you aren't.  Look at Jay Wright.  He once had that label, now he has 2 championships in 3 years.  It's not like we're not even close.  We're losing Game 5s and can point to a single play where it could've changed and we won.

So, I don't subscribe to the belief we're doomed to repeat history and lose another NLDS Game 5.  The biggest hurdle will be entering the postseason with our key guys healthy.

The biggest hurdle will be find a guy to take the ball in game three

Just when you thought it could not get worse they hand the ball to Cole tonight.
He may go 3 and only give up 4 though.

Slate as the voice of reason.  It's a bad stretch. Need to start a good stretch today.

They're gonna rip off a series of 5-8 wins and everyone will be back to being SSS.

The big issue here is when are we getting some of that sweet sweet free pizza

I hope skipping his start doesn't ruin Cole's confidence.....assuming he has any because it does not look like it to me

He needs more time for the wounds to heal.  3-4 years maybe.

Cole doesn't look like he has a brain. Just a blank stare. How could anyone judge if he has any confidence from looking at him?

That's not how the SSS works. If you leave and want to rejoin, you must go through the cruel hazing process again. :whip:
