I don't do Facebook.    It's like Uncensored to me.   I don't know what's over there and don't wanna know.   I'm afraid it'd be a bad trip.    Over my life, I've wasted tens of thousands of dollars on booze, drugs, phoney girlfriends, fake concert tickets, lemon vehicles and any number of shady schemes/bad investments mankind has thought up.     By far, this is the best wasted money I've ever spent.
I don't do Facebook either. It's more laziness. Sounds like lots of work to keep it updated to me.

If Zuckerberg testifies before Congress is he going to do it in a tshirt?

While it may not be for everyone, what would y'all think about a WNFF FB group. I'm on FB much more than I am here.

Facebook's days are numbered. And the sooner that piece of crap goes away, the better.

It's interesting that forums aren't really in vogue anymore because in my experience, forums are still the best method for in-depth discussion of a particular subject. Twitter is super unwieldy for anything beyond HAWT TAEKS and I utterly refuse to ever touch Facebook.

Forums are the micro-brews of the modern internet

Reddit is a huge forum website that almost everyone I know at least casually uses. I dont think forums are necessarily going the way of the dodo, just maybe being consolidated in fewer sites?

I’ve become a big reddit fan over the last few years. Not so much for nats, but I’ve found it useful for several other topics, mostly related to college searching and prep for the kids.

Yeah, a large proportion of forum usage has been consolidated into Reddit usage.  Reddit is like another flavor of forum.  It's like pasta: other Internet forums are fettuccine, capellini, linguine, etc., and then you have Reddit which is gnocchi.  You know it's technically the same, but there's something totally different about it.  It's probably become the forum of preference in the mobile age because the minimalism makes for a much better mobile browsing experience.  That, and people got tired of some forums just looking too busy and reminding them of MySpace.

Thanks for starting this Ray!
It felt like the MLB board was slowly dying.
Glad I remembered about WNFF.
Now I just need to learn how to use all the bells and whistles here.

Hello Everyone!

Hi Citizen, glad you're here (but you were already here as I recall).  I'm actually glad that message board no longer exists, I was getting tired of those never-ending and useless posts from batsnats (or whatever his name is).  Doesn't change the fact that what MLB did was arrogant, stupid, and thoughtless. An incredible wealth of archived information is lost.  Some posters had 60,000 or more posts, lost forever.  If they needed to take down the message boards  they could have done it is an orderly and rational manner that allowed the information to be preserved, rather than suddenly pulling the plug.  But I don't care.

I enjoyed the MLB board but now that I'm here I'm sure this will be great also. Any Nats talk works for me.
