Eaton and Murphy are both about halfway to 100.

I don't think the 100 PAs applies to Murphy. His swing is so simple and he just gets there. He's already getting there.

Don't know about Eaton. Never seen him come off the DL before.

Well, they're both hitting below their norms, so...it might. Or maybe Murph is so good he only needs 70 ABs.

Whichever one he starts. I don't think he's scheduled to go until Monday, though, is he?

and the nats have 4 on the road v Philly then 3 at home against the Red Sox.  Wanna guess how many of those will have betting lines favoring the Nationals?
If we lose tonight, I predict we'll lose 6 of the 7, maybe all 7.  If we win tonight I predict we win at least 5.  Not trying to say winning tonight is crucial, I'm saying that coming to play is crucial.  They didn't come to Tampa to play, and it'll be interesting to see if they're sleepwalking or serious.

Murph has a four game hit streak and he's 6 for his last 16. His swing looks better too.

Are they skipping someone's start?

They can.  Not sure if they will. A Tuesday pitcher can pitch on Sunday with normal rest, but if they decide to slot in Hellickson somewhere rather than skip the 5th starter, then Scherzer is pushed to Monday.

We're going to the game on Wednesday, so Turd Ferguson will be pitching for us regardless of what number he's wearing that day...  :hang:

Braves put Brandon McCarthy on the DL. Although he has been their worst pitcher in terms of stats, he has gone 6+ almost every start. Matt Wisler is taking his place in thw rotation. Soroka is already on the DL. They do get Acuna back today.

I mean, I know the math works in terms of rest, but with Hellickson about ready to come back, and no days off before the ASB and the likliehood he'll be pitching in that game, I'd like them to go with the 5 man rotation. (My fantasy team could really use him to go on Sunday, though...)

And they need to line up Max so he starts the ASG game. :stir:

Gio listed as the Sunday starter on the Nats website. Fedde today, TBA for tomorrow. Guessing Hellickson goes in that spot.

I guess it would be Pitching Appearances, Games In Attendance (PAGIP). Still, This should give you a special feeling for the BAPIP stat.

Max has been on the bump for 4 of our 5 games this year...Fredde was the other, so at least we know it won't be Fredde...though it looks like it may be RoVark  :hang:

I've yet to see Max pitch in person.  Seems every game I go to is started by Gio or Roark.  A few years ago it was always a Taylor.
