Nats are starting to hit more?
After going 3 for his first 30, Murphy is 6 for his last 17. Harper has six doubles in his last six games. It's starting. Get on the hype train or get left at the NANF station :whip:

Tim Tebow to the Mets’ minor league camp. He’s hitting .056 this spring.

Tebow making significant progress in AA.

Quote
...Though his overall numbers for Binghamton aren’t overly impressive — Tebow had a slash line of .256/.335/.402 with five home runs and 27 RBIs through Monday — his .737 OPS through 224 plate appearances is 81 points better than the mark he posted a year ago. And over his previous 18 games he batted .321 (17-for-53) with an impressive .848 OPS. He hit safely in 11 of his previous 15 games, and had a stellar 315/.362/.481 slash line this month...

Tebow is going to make the majors this year. Frankly, I hope he comes to DC when he does.

The Mets are a disaster. They will do it to put fans in the seats.

Lol, only from the post. You understand that's a tabloid right? I'm not going to say I'm not a little impressed by those numbers, he's definitely a competitor, but that's hardly "looking like a pro" and the whole thing is still a giant joke/PR stunt. Dude is 30 years old for one, and if he wasn't Tebow no one would give 2 craps about a stat line like that.

I hope he makes it to the Mets. It will signify how crappy they are and it means I will sell all of my tickets to the games vs. the Mets at wildly inflated prices.

If anyone was lacking enough class to disrespect the game with a stunt like that just to sell tickets it'd be NY; because that is so obviously what it would be. I kind of feel bad for the guy, I like to think he knows he has basically no chance and is just having fun getting to compete at anything anymore, I mean obviously the mets are just using him I hope he knows that and doesn't care as long as he gets to play, it's really sad to think he's not "in on it". I mean, he's 30 years old and just now cracking the Mendoza line in minor league ball and not exactly launching them over the fences; if it weren't for his name no way any organization would be wasting those ABs on him. Even from the beginning the best case scenario was for him to get good enough they could trot him up to the big show and sell some jerseys without making a laughingstock out of him and themselves, he's too old for him to have a shot at a real career.

Tebow is doing it for his brand (sell more crap/be relevant longer) and also because he wanted to see if he could (ego/competitor/whatever). I'm actually impressed he's doing OK and I hope the Mets call him up just to prove that they truly are just a circus and the Wilpons don't actually care about their team.

It's not the SSS club. They believe goodness will follow them. This team is, quite frankly, too freaking talented to play like this all season. Not unless the injuries are truly devastating.

If it's August 1st, and we're 5+ games back with Harper and Murphy still hitting like crap and Strasburg nowhere in sight, then I'll probably change my tune. But people panicking right now are dumb. The Braves are already showing signs of slowing down and they have a rotation filled with guys who haven't pitched a whole season.

This, they just had reds and o's at home and are hoping for a 3-3 homestand before their next road trip to the Yankees, Brewers

Reds better not play like this when they play us is early August.  I don't want my first experience at Nats Park to be tarnished.

Braves lost again. Newcomb gave up 3 in 6. Their pen collapsed.

They were just tested by Balmore and Cincy. Lost 4 of 6. Problem is the Nats cant win.

They will revert to form by then. Of course the Nats suck at home this year.

Keep telling you guys, this is going to change. Harper and Murphy will get in the groove. Gio will figure it out. We'll get better starts out of Roark. Hellickson is on his way back. Zimmerman will come back and get his 100 PAs and rake.

We're still in the tunnel, but the light is up ahead. Just gotta keep chugging through it.

That takes roughly a month.  So write off July?

and the nats have 4 on the road v Philly then 3 at home against the Red Sox.  Wanna guess how many of those will have betting lines favoring the Nationals?

Everyone else will be up and running by then, so no, not really. Zim will struggle at first. He always does.
