Mets lose in 9th on 2-run walk-off by Culberson. Just can't depend on the Mets for anything! By the way, Metsies have fallen to .500 and 5 games out.

And you're surprised?

Looks like they will be swept. Remember all the panic early on about how great the Mets were.

Thor now on the DL for the mets with a sprained ligament in his index finger. We will never catch those healthy mets now.

Noah Syndergaard was examined today at The Hospital for Special Surgery for soreness in his right index finger. A MRI and clinical examination confirmed a strained ligament in the finger. Syndergaard will be placed on the 10-Day Disabled List, retroactive to May 26.

Mets account. Note Caloway as optimistic as ever.

http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/23641693/new-york-mets-place-noah-syndergaard-10-day-dl-strained-index-finger

Quote
"He threw a side yesterday and that's when he [Syndergaard] started noticing it, that [it] was sore," manager Mickey Callaway said. "He had some bruising at the base of his wrist, so we just said that he needs to get that checked out."

Callaway later added that Syndergaard had had "a little" soreness after his last start and that the pitcher would wear a splint on his finger to keep it immobilized.

But Callaway didn't seem to believe Syndergaard would miss much time.

"Right now, the goal is to rest it a couple of days and give him a bullpen this weekend," said Callaway. "After that, he should be all good."

Can we wait until the Nats are actually in first at the end of all the games. It’s not as if the Mets have never blown a lead.

What's the over/under on DeGrom having Tommy John surgery before the end of the season?  I predict late June.

Good. Let them play 19 innings and then go into a rain delay.

The Braves have to get credit for coming back on the regular, especially at home.  They could have easily lost all 3 to the Mets but they have rallied in 2 of the 3, plus they had that crazy 6 run 9th inning comeback to beat Miami a few weeks ago.  They seem to believe.

They are still playing above their heads. Not saying that they aren't a good team, but I think they are getting very lucky outside of Freeman. I think the Phillies are a better hitting team. I also believe the Atlanta arms are way over performing.

Looks like the Nationals will have to beat these freakers themselves and not rely on other teams.

Good. Should we come out on top of the NLE after a dog fight of a regular season we'll be ready for the post season.

Phillies shortstop Pedro Florimon to the DL with a broken foot.  He Rendonned himself with a foul ball off the foot.

The Mets are a joke. They'd finish last if not for the dumpster fire that is the Marlins.
