Might just be considering all options. Murphy is back at 1b tonight and Bryce is in the OF.

Hmm, an OF of Soto / Taylor / Eaton with Harper at 1B and Murphy at 2B seems to be loads better than Difo at 2B or Reynolds at 1B.

The 100÷ point difference in OPS was enough for me, Harper is still significantly better (on the field, no one ever called Desmond an ass hole).
I'm thinking that the difference is due to Harpers 67 BB to Desmonds 28

If anyone is moving to first, it should be Soto

I don't think so.  I think he hates Mike Trout.

@todd_dybas Boras just delivered extended answers about what is happening with Harper. In a nutshell, he again derides the shift and argues he is being treated differently than other stars bc the league tries to throw him strikes at such a low frequency.

I'm so ready for Harper to move on. 2015 was a great year for him and it's fun watching moon shots, but having his agent beg for rule changes because the league adjusted to him and he's not smart enough to counter is the biggest wussy move by a DC athlete since Haynesworth sat down on the field.

But it was the agent, I doubt Harper ever said anything.  Harper might leave but we're still stuck with the agent.

@chelsea_janes Harper, incidentally, trotted like the ball was out until he hit first base. Was lucky to get to second. https://t.co/00PP1lPs7D

Mike Trout has led the league twice in walks and he has more walks this year than Harper.  Yet he’s hitting 100 points higher.

He'd be totally exposed in Anaheim.

And direct competition and comparisons with Trout. Not happening.

If Harper were hitting like 2015, it would still be time to stop talking about Harper and Trout comparisons

Tonight pretty well closed the book on him for me.  It's impossible to root for someone who isn't even trying anymore...

This made me sick.

You know what made me sick?  Harper hit a fly ball, watched it for several seconds before running and made it to second, when he could easily have had a triple.  He's a piece of crap. I really can't stand that jerk.

"When the league doesn't want to participate in a way that's customary, we can't look at players in customary ways," Boras said. "There's no question that with the walk rates that Bryce Harper has, he's going to have less hits."

Yeah Scott the walk rate and shifts are why he's hitting .218 and is on pace for 170 Ks.

The Boras propaganda machine has no off switch.

Boras is a spin master and a shill, but that’s a big part of what he’s paid to do. This little tirade is nothing more than posturing. It’s like a defense attorney painting an unrealistically angelic picture of his client, the defendant.  99% of the time, the flowery language and big words don’t change a damn thing but he’s gonna try it anyway because 1% of the time, it works. Bird gotta fly, fish gotta swim, Boras gotta Boras.
