She's looking forward to Bryce taking a bat to the china cabinet when they get home.

He very well might miss.

I don't really care who he roots for but dumb to show up like that.  When he does that in New York or Philly they will rip him a new one.
hey, the guy is honest, supports his home town, and enjoys sports. At least he isn't phony about it.

The downside of dual loyalty is when your teams go head to head.  He probably has friends on the Caps, too.

he posted on instagram that he roots for the Caps whenever they're not playing LV.

The rule doesn't make sense to me.  We talk all the time about players' dads, moms, brothers, etc.   Wives are fair game too, if it's in the context of the discussion at hand.  The discussion is about Harper being at the Caps game dressed in the opposition's uniform.  Wife looked pretty unhappy to be there.

I can relate to Bryce's wife's mopey mad face, cause I'm pretty sure I made that same face when her husband struck out for the last out in Game 5 last year.

I didn't make the rule...forget who it was now...but he was pretty adamant about it...

I am just happy that he seems to be having as much fun as all other Vegas fans.

BTW I don't care he is a Vegas fan. At least he is sincere about it

As a general rule talking about player's personal lives would be out of bounds but there should be exceptions. If you go out to the biggest event in the city in years wearing a jersey rooting against the home team you open yourself up for discussion. Nothing wrong with rooting for your home team, also nothing wrong with a little gloating when someone else's home team loses. They're lucky he plays in DC, other places they would have been jeered and probably doused.

I feel as if the general consensus is trending towards letting Harper walk. I was so on the opposite side of this thought just a few years back, but now, Soto and Robles look like legitimate MLB outfielders who could potentially be All-Stars. I don't think they have MVP Harper qualities, but the money Harper will want just hamstrings the team too much. In order to compete with the Barves and Philthies, the team is going to have to hold onto Rendon and build up around him.

It's that plus the fact that we're beginning to realize, he's not that special.  He's good, not great. Not the second coming of Mickey Mantle as advertised.

Post of the week, if not the month!

At least he has Judge to look down on, after the big man's record-setting 8 Ks in yesterday's double header at Detroit.

Tl;dr he’s missing more pitches out of the zone than usual.

Hitting .227.

The OBP is nice, but you have to hit your weight. He has become the Three True Outcomes

I don't give two craps if he worships Satan in his off time as long as he shows up on gameday.

But like Slate said, he's hitting .227. 2 freaking 27. He's a worse Adam Dunn at this point.

He'll be shocked to find teams aren't going to pay $30 million a year for 10 years for a guy who hits .230, even if his OPS and HRs are fine. :lmao:

I honestly think we are making too much about the average when the OPS is there.  I'm more concerned if June looks more like May than April.  The K/BB ratio is way out of whack.  He seems frustrated, swinging at balls because pitchers know not to throw him strikes, and pulling into shifts rather than punishing shifts by taking outside pitches to left.
