None of this makes any sense, but ownership has spoken. Rizzo will carry out his instructions. The best we can hope for now is to suddenly "click" and make a big push.

It doesn't make sense to sell when we are clearly out of it? Oh wait, nevermind, you are the guy who has been saying Harper is a few at bats away from "breaking out" for months now.

Well, ya gotta figure Bob, FP, Dan, Mike and at least some of the Lerner family.

Yo, if Bobby C is reading this board just want to thank you again for the broadcasters scorebook you gave me in 2010.

You know better than that. One half season doesn't erase Bryce Harper's entire career.

This is the problem with sabreheads, players don't go seal themselves in their stasis pods when the game is over...not only do they change, physically and mentally, but the league changes how they defend against them(pitch selection/the shift), this is the new Bryce Harper, might as well accept it because the old one isn't coming back.

Literally is to you what beautiful is to Trump.

And GTFO with the narrative that you've wanted them to trade Harper for 4 years.

Once you realize that Slate’s primary role on here is to screw with people, reading his posts become more tolerable (mostly).

Slate has argued all sides of most issues. I like that he is flexible in his views.

I don't think the shift is hurting him as much as what's in his head. Pressing and zone discipline. So, yes, swing at bad pitches, especially high and away. Once he figures out the contract thing, I think he will rake.

I don't think Harper's issues have anything to do with how the league has adapted to him.  When he's sucking, like in most of 2018, he is falling backwards as he swings, or he's sticking his butt backwards which has the same effect of pulling off the plate.  He's just awful when he's doing that, and it's completely within his power to fix.
