Anyone who would take a hurricane destruction with a WS crown needs to find a psychiatrist's couch to begin venting their frustrations.

I would take 30 years of I-395 or beltway traffic over Houston's recent hurricane.

at least they won a world series.

this almost sounds like WNFF poll - If you were offered one of these two outcomes by Satan, which would you take:
1) the current state of affairs in DC life and sports; or
2) the Nats winning the World Series; a major hurricane that pushes a tidal surge up the Potomac flooding the sewage treatment works at Blue Plains, DCA, Old Town, and much of the DC riverfront only to be followed by a later inundation due to the rain upstream; Kirk Cousins and defensive linemen / LBs worth 25+ sacks injured; no hope for the Wizards; and some random chemical plant explosions in the suburbs plus other assorted industrial sites wafting hazardous chemicals in the air.

I'm guessing #2 will get some votes.

Seriously are the Patriots of 08 the only team that hasn't collapsed after their QB gets hurt? What the freak is the point of a back up quarterback when 98% of them suck and are unwatchable??

A backup gets you through a couple games. But honestly, the position is too freaking hard to keep multiple, highly skilled players at.

only way you can do that is if they are very early in their careers, like the Pats last year with Brisset and Jimmy G. Of course, Cousins was a pretty good back up to RGIII :stir:

I don’t think he’s going anywhere. Is he really stupid enough to resign over an incentive based contract?

No, but if ratings keep falling revenue is sure to follow and if the owners start losing money he'll be the first change they want to make and it can't come soon enough for me.

Those are some ugly uniforms.  Seattle looks like the Oregon Ducks.

This is why I don’t let my kids play football though I’m a hypocrite for watching it. Sigh...

That's okay. Their kids will look on it they way we look upon Gladiator games and dueling pistols

I thought earlier "why? He sucks now!" And then was reminded I thought the same when they brought Blount back, that worked out pretty well that year :mg:

I forgot which fight it was but they used that clown (Stephen a Smith) to be part of the broadcast. Predictably, he was freaking awful. Aside from basketball and SOME football, that joker knows about as much about sports as skippy does.

I have oft wondered how much money the personalities on sports radio station in DC get paid because they all know as much about sports as any Joe you sit next to in a sports bar.

Collinsworth praising Oswieler, talking about how sharp he looks, just as Oswieler throws a terrible interception.

I could use a few more points from Gronk and Cooks.

I don't know if I've ever seen a better all-around special teams game than the Pats last night.  You had a blocked punt and a recovered muff by the punt coverage team, I think all but one of the kick offs were returned and tackled inside the 25 (the other kick off I think was a touchback), and perfect PATs and field goals.  They only had one official punt, but the other time they punted they drew too many man on the field  for a first down.
