The Euro model is showing a big snowstorm from Southern Ohio to the Atlantic, with snow from the NC/VA border through the Northeast.  Most of the accumulating snow is centered around Southern Ohio, WV, and Western MD/PA.  The model shows around 10" or more for much of the D.C. area.   Bottom right image below is forecasted snow totals.  We're six days out so this will likely change quite a bit.

this is what, 2 days before peak blossoms on the cherries?

Looks like we'll get out of Dodge just in time Saturday morning.  Not sure if Gburg is driving or flying, but we're headed down around the same time.

I was playin' golf yesterday in a short sleeved shirt, shorts and a ballcap.    I went to the gym and store today in a leather jacket, warmup gear and a knit hat.

latest models are scaling back the Tuesday storm to just a few inches for the D.C. area.  With it warming into the 40's Tuesday afternoon it won't stick around long.  Still, probably a snow day for the kids.

latest NWS projection is out.  4-6" for inside the beltway, less south and east.  West of the beltway (Fauquier, Loudoun, Western Prince William) are forecasted for 8-12"

Startin' to flurry in E. Loudoun  ...  the wind is really pickin' up.    Neighbors are out stagin' their vehicles.
