Guess that puts an end to any in-ring comeback, huh?

Well there's no "retired" criterion (or any other criteria really). So it could also be just a way to bring him back into the fold, whether in-ring or otherwise. New general manager of RAW?

Thoughts are that he's entering the Rumble and and will retire after losing to Undertaker at WM.

that's a lot better idea than the chatter about having Cena beat Styles for the Smackdown title, then face UT in a retirement vs title match at WM.

So for WM it's looking like:
Goldberg vs. Lesnar
Cena vs Styles with the opportunity for Cena to tie Flair's 16 'official' title reigns
Charlotte vs Bailey

I'd guess on the Raw side it will end up as Rollins vs Reigns for the world title (with Rollins winning the RR), and Jericho vs Owens for the US title, and probably Stohman vs Big Show.

If they were smart - they are not - I feel like they should go with:

Lesnar vs. Strowman
Reigns vs. Goldberg

No one wants to see Lesnar beat Goldberg, and it doesn't do anything to have Goldberg win another squash-type match over Lesnar only to disappear for 3 months. But everyone wants to see the two immovable objects collide.

And then nothing would make WWE fans more ecstatic that watching Reigns get squashed by Goldberg.

EDIT: I feel you can easily set up Lesnar vs. Strowman in the Rumble. Have one of the guys dominate for a while, maybe clear the ring etc. Then have the other one eliminate the one who dominated, maybe in a dirty way. Eliminated one goes on RAW the next night, promos how he was eliminated dirty and wants a one-on-one match at Wrestlemania. Bingo.

Crowd would eat up a Strowman vs. Lesnar match, and I'm not sure what other storylines are left for either guy anyways.

Agreed, they got a huge reaction last night when they faced off.

And a huge groan of disappointment when Strowman backed off without a fight.

I will be really disappointed if they don't follow through on this.

I haven't heard one way or the other.  There was also talk of Rollins vs HHH but they haven't done anything to set that up yet.  If they go that direction would they do Reigns vs Jericho/Owens?

Meltzer reports that Kenny Omega is booked for an event in Chile on 1/28, the day before the RR.  He's also under contract to NJPW until 1/31 so it's not likely that he's jumping to WWE.

Possible RR/WM spoiler:

Meltzer reports that the current thinking is that UT will win the RR and that Reigns will win the universal title from Owens at the RR, setting up Reigns vs UT for WM.  The only way that would make any sense is if Reigns turns heel and wins at WM

NJPW has released Kenny Omega OnTheRoad #2:

It's almost the entire Omega/Okada match, shown close up, without commentary but capturing the conversations around the ring, Omega talking to the Young Bucks, and the fan reaction.

Christ, doesn't Vince EVER get tired of the same old baloney? I hope Pat Patterson plays a role in the match somehow.

I caved and reordered the Network for the Rumble and Mania. Guess that's worth $18.

So betting sites are usually very accurate at predicting PPV outcomes. Having said that, the current favorite to win the Rumble according to them is...

Randy Orton.

i can't think of a more disappointing outcome, other than Cena winning it.

Wanna hear another interesting outcome according to them?

Owens retains. Y'know, I think at this point, the Reigns push actually is over and has been for months but no one noticed. I think they feel Balor is the guy and the only reason Reigns went back into the main event picture after Balor got hurt was because they had no other better babyface option to pass the time with until Balor's return.

Not clicking the spoiler but I'm guessing it's Reigns, Taker or Orton.

I watched roode and nakamura a bit earlier. Fantastic match. Roode is being booked perfectly, hopefully he's in line for a mobster push on the main roster.
