You see all those fans stay after the game and saluting their boys. They will be back and he will continue to make money.

Like he cares.  He's got the fans so delusional they'll be back next year for another asspounding in the second round.

Caps won't make it to the second round. Between pending free agents and the expansion draft, i'd expect 6-8 players to be gone. And none of them the ones that need to go

Think they'll have a new coach?

We can only hope. Though Trotz is the guy I'd want for a true rebuild. In two years, fire him and hire an X's and O's coach

Nah. I think they will just feel they are unlucky and push forward with the same approach.

How many coaches are the Caps currently paying?

He used to shoot the puck in game sevens. Now he tries to make pretty passes. It rubbed off on him.

Ovi looked like hammered crap tonight and those last two minutes were absurdly bad.

He's looked rough all season.    Many a game night comment was about Ovie's fall off.    His skills and speed are fadin' away.

Ovie is done. Unless he's willing to do a Jagr and recommit himself to a different play style and a strict off-season conditioning program, he's done.

The drop-off in speed was pretty shocking but his complete inability to play defense was almost sad.

Ovie is done. Unless he's willing to do a Jagr and recommit himself to a different play style and a strict off-season conditioning program, he's done.

Good luck on that.  I just realized he's owed $40M over the next four years and has a modified no trade clause so I doubt you'll see him shipped off to Las Vegas.

If anyone is curious as to why they played well in Game 5 and Game 6, it's because they had already crap the bed and were expected to lose so they played well. Because the pressure was back on this game, they looked like such a soft gash that basement-dwellers are trying to order them on pictureshub.

Trade and fire everyone. Literally, everyone.

So. Who would want these underachievers?
