Disagree - Rizzo has already made his decision and it's not based on winning tomorrow

Probably, but I just meant in my mind.

If we lose, I'd get rid of him. If we win, he'll have taken us farther then anyone else and hell farther then any DC sports team has gone in 20 years and that warrants an extension.

Fair or unfair, this is a results driven business we're in.

Spoiler alert: He won't.

Werth is this year's Espinosa, but this year we have a real solution. Kendrick might not be a true outfielder, but he's still much better offensively and defensively than Werth. Unless dusty wins the WS, I'd cut him loose. He's proven that he can't change. He makes the same stupid post season decisions and tomorrow he'll be under more pressure unless Gonzo pitches a great game and some guys finally figure out how to hit Hendricks. But I've seen dusty manage in the playoffs many times and even a 5 run lead isn't safe under dusty.

I don't usually agree with slateman, but he's right. All dusty has to do with a lead going into the 7th is to turn it over to the law firm. If one of them blows the game I can live with that because they are our best relievers. What I can't live with is dusty using ollie and solis who are decent regular season loogys but throwing them into a high pressure setting in the playoffs is playing with fire. I just hope the nats have a lead tomorrow going into the the 7th and does the same thing he did tonight. Swap out Werth who is a defensive liability and lets not forget he also blew a defensive play in game 5 vs LAD last year and made a huge base running blunder as well for a better defensive player and go with the law firm with a clean inning. Scherzer should have never pitched in the 7th despite the no hitter. His velocity was down all game because of his hammy and was close to 100 pitches. We got what we needed out of him, but dusty pulled a dusty.

the pattern has been giving managers a playoff failure plus one season- Davey had 2012 then was gone after 2013, Williams had 2014 then was gone after 2015. If they lose, I doubt he gets re-upped

At some point, it'll be the players.

He's not even a manager.  He just sits in the dugout.

I've been a Dusty supporter, but after this series I'm now in the 'fire Dusty' camp.  Giving so much playing time to Werth was inexcusable as was not pinch hitting for Wieters last night.  I'm hearing from Reds fans that he did the same thing there, sticking with Scott Rolen when it was apparent Rolen was past his best by date.

Martinez or Wakamatsu please.

If only Mark DeRosa would get some minor league managerial experience.

The position of manager is overrated anyway.  Ned Yost was the most widely renowned moron in baseball.  Then he got smart in one year.  Now he's stupid again.

He's clueless. Can't we do better? Farrell perhaps.

Farrell can handle a self-motivated team with strong player leadership. Think of 2013, with Napoli, Gomes, Ortiz, Pedroia, etc . . .  Not so much this year with younger guys, older players breaking down, and high paid guys who got bitter about fans criticizing underperformance.  I think he'd be horrid for this team.

I'm fine with Dusty. Maddon didn't exactly have a great series either.

Francona is highly regarded but their series ended in even more disappointing fashion.

Just listened/watched Svrluga on with Russo.    The game decisions were worse than I imagined/remembered.

When he just randomly burned Robles as a pinch hitter, I knew he was out of his freaking mind.
