Hate to admit it but I usually sit in the 300s a few sections over from the leader of the chant.   I have never participated in this.

That chant is cool but they need to do it more than just when they score. It will be slow to catch on otherwise.

I sat in 306 for the first time last week and I thought it was fun when I remembered to pay attention. The chant actually happens a few sections over.

Correct, but I'm giving you my (snarkily stated) reason that I think it's stupid.  People are free to be stupid, but I would rather not join in this particular stupid activity.  Rooting for the Nationals, however, I apparently do not see as beneath my intellectual level despite the rational knowledge that it is often unenjoyable.
