Sounds like Scherzer didn't want to start Sunday.

He probably has a bonus for starting the ASG

Disagree - it was Matt Williams worrying too much that his star would be unhappy, where Max is a team guy

Is he going to be pitching on normal rest? He looked tired last time out... it's Fister's turn, no?

Desmond has the worst case of passive aggressiveness I've ever seen.  He takes a strike with the bases empty and two outs but swings wildly at the first pitch with bases loaded, no outs.

I've been stuck in no-mans land with no internet or cell service for a couple of days now but I see Desmond still sucks.

Are the Nationals going to hit a homerun in this series?  Just one?

Bit over the top, but we need a win to stop the rot in the worst way and he's killed us

Max said they came to a team decision, so the team is more important than the individual goals, which is the way it should be

It seemed like a very unenthusiastic way to say "the team is desperate and they asked me to pitch."

Jordan looks so disinterested.  Just like the rest of the bums
