Maybe you have without knowing it, such as their song "Beautiful Day"

Can't say I've ever listened to a U2 tune.

If you are an iTunes user, you can now download the new U2 album song of innocence until mid-October for free.  It is already in your Cloud library.
Yep, was easy to download it.  Will try and listen this weekend.

New Purson track. Also looks like they're still dedicated to looking really freaking stupid.

my goodness, Friday they had a new DJ at CCSP.  They get some instructions that, at least before 10, they play music that's from last century, with an emphasis on 70s and 80s.  This guy kind of probably has not listened to or heard of most of the music from then (had not heard of the Ramones), so he's picking his songs off some list of "what are nostalgic tunes of that era."  Upshot of this is he played the theme from "Cheers."  that's probably the first time a DJ ever played that song.

How the hell do you dance to the theme from "Cheers"?    :)

not a dance place.  Frankly, I think a DJ at a sports pub is kind of dumb.  should have the sound to a game going on. But I have not owned a place for 20 years, had it ranked in SI's top 20 sports bars last time they did it, and printed money during football season.  They've got to know something i don't.

Yeah, that sounds like cross purpose marketing to me.

All the news coverage about the 200th anniversary of the writing of the National Anthem prompted me to play this. If you've never heard the entire song, give it a listen.

You are a brave, brave man

Saw Alice Cooper & Motley Crue at Farm Bureau Live in Virginia Beach on Wednesday.

Met Nikki Sixx before the concert and he presented a personalized Schecter Sixx bass to my youngest daughter and then played it onstage during "Don't Go Away Mad."  He was very personable...

Second time we have seen the Crue...and again, we had a great time...

Skip to 2:00 or so to get to where the song actually starts.

Even better if you skip to 9:43 when it ends...  :P

Been listening to Volbeat a lot lately. Really dig their style. They're one of the most different bands I've heard in a long time.

This black metal project that is getting good buzz, but is headed by an indie-pop chick, which pisses off the trve kvlt black metal community. All of the hipster accusations being tossed around reminds me of the reaction to Deafheaven's success last year. Hope she has as much success as they did.
