Remember what a bit deal it was  ...  Lew and E, UCLA v Houston, in the relatively new Astrodome  ....  I ain't bettin' the rent check but I think I watched the game on TV.      The Bullets in the '70s had two of my favorite college players from the late '60s   ...   Wes and E.   I was a fan of Earl Monroe at WS State but when he went to NY  ...  not so much.
I loved the Pearl.  Used to practice that spin dribble in my driveway.  Rooted for the Bullets when he was there and then the Knicks when he got traded.  Sixers were terrible in the early 70s.

Sorry but I don't like the Rockets.  Don't like Harden.  Don;t like Howard, etc.  Anyone else from the West will do.  I don't see anyone beating Golden State at this point.  Maybe SA can get it together for one more run but kind of doubt that.

Nobody likes houston, and i must admit i couldn't give a crap. I suppose you hate harden because he flops and doesnt play defense??

Yes.  He gets more borderline and no fouls calls than LeBron.
He could have stayed in OKC and won a title by now. And the beard has grown tiresome.
I haven't seen much of Houston this year but form what i have heard he is playing better defense this year.

Actually would rather see Houston win than the Clippers for what it's worth.

Its simple you reach he will teach, gets plenty of calls but I'm yet to see how it isn't a foul when you put your arms out and get hacked. The way he takes the ball to the hoop with his arms out invites you to try strip and foul.

Could have been 6th man in okc for 30 mil less. Why? Thats like telling tanner roark to be a middle reliever when he could be a 3rd starter on most teams. yeah its about winning but having a top 5 player in the league coming off the bench is never going to happen its laughable

There were a couple on Sunday where no one reached and almost no contact and yet he still got the calls. I await the day when John Wall gets more of those calls!

I knew a guy who played back in the '70s.    He complained then about West, Frazier, etc. always gettin' the calls.   :)      This ain't gonna change any time soon but I'm with you  ....   Wall's pretty close to this level as well.

A rare laugher for the Wiz.  Philly seems to be in full tank mode.
Of course last time I said this they blew a 35 point lead.

Beal's interview going into the half was joking about how many 20 point leads they've blown.

Well, they were outscored by 18 points in the fourth quarter.  Keepin' it real, I guess.

The bench quicky list the lead and starters needed to be reinserted. Disturbing trend. Nice to Adele Humphries back.

Lots of pounding going on.    The refs let 'em play.

I would imagine its a long season for refs; on the road all the time; they just want to get the season over fast.
Didn't see much of the game.

I stopped by with the remote every once in awhile.   There was a whole lot of pounding going on.    Phil and Buck both commented on the physical play.    Wall had 18 assists.

What's with the constant background music in the post-game show on CSN?

Likely very little don't think we play another team from the east.

Good news is that the Wiz are only 1 game back of Chicago and Toronto and therefore have a chance to squeeze into third place.
The bad news is that there are only 4 games left.

Random NBA item. With Chris Mullin gone and GM Pete D'Allesadro likely to be fired, the Kings are now being run by Vlade Divac.

Your Rockets could be in big trouble with San Antonio long in the playoffs.

I look at the postseason as a win win for the Wizards.  If they move past the first round again that's great.  If not more chance that Ernie will be fired.
