I'm not hiding.  I grew up going to Fenway.  Then one day I went to Shea Stadium and saw a half-way decent ball park.  And that was Shea freaking Stadium.

Fenway is historic and sentimental and all, but it's a pile of crap. And that's what I hear from a friend that's a Boston fan.

The historic parks (I'm referring to Fenway and Wrigley here) are awesome...for the first two or three times you see a game there. After that, the novelty wears off and you're stuck with tight seats, bad sight lines, closed concourses, small bathrooms, not enough food options, etc.

that's why they're great in other cities. I wouldn't want one for my local team, but they're good to visit every so often- the same as any historic building, they should be kept around for the sake of history just as long as I don't have to live/work in them or visit them often (NIMBY)  all the way

The only corporate name that really works IMO is Capital One Nationals Park. But I do like the Wegmans and Walgreens ideas! Might as well sellout and make some more money for the boss to pocket.
