I don't know.  I don't think he knows himself.  Seems like he is waiting for bosh to make a decision while bosh waits for him.

No, but I wouldn't be surprised by anything at this point.

No freaking way.  Too much butt hurt on both sides.

Although I would be a Dan Gilbert fanboi for life if he signed Lebron and then immediately cut his sorry ass.

I doubt he does that to his franchise, NBA contracts are guarenteed, basically he'd be paying LeBron the max minus the veteran minimum he'd take to play elsewhere and Cleveland's cap would be destroyed for years. Actually, I really hope he does it

If he does come back they need to find that chick that kept being shown on the clip after the "decision" who was crying about James taking his talents to South Beach and have her at the announcement.

OR send her to Enola, PA.  Just saying.

The only thing that makes me think he'll return is that he hasn't taken a meeting personally with Cleveland, or met their coach/gm.

Otherwise, it sure seems like it. Nothing the past 4 days (besides that story late last night of no other team meetings) makes a Miami return look likely.

If James leaves Miami, "Heat" fans will be some other team fans next season and will have to buy new gear.

Who would you rather play with?

Broken down Dwayne Wade and still useful Chris Bosh and no one else
or
Kyrie Irving, Andrew Wiggins, Anderson Varejao?

Perpetually injured Kyrie Irving, rookie Andrew Wiggins, kind of useful Anderson Varejao?

Cleveland is probably better, but is not exactly like Miami three years ago

Russell made a decent player coach. This is the NBA's fault, with a max salary, you're going to have max players worth far more than they get paid creating this ridiculous beauty contest instead of just having one team cut a much bigger check

I think LeBron's goal is to own the Cavaliers.    It's a logical conclusion to his "legacy".

Don't think he could afford it! MJ bought his team I think almost for nothing because he agreed to inherit all of Bob Johnson's team related debts. The Bucks went for 600m. I don't think LBJ can get be the majority owner of a team with how much (or little, in this case) he's made.

Most likely get in one of those ownership groups and then try to buy the others out as the value on his shares grows.

You think its a done deal for Cleveland? I have seen reports that the Heat would be interested in Trevor Ariza if they lose Lebron and Bosh--doesn't make sense to me; would think they would just pull back the contracts they offered and go full in on tanking next year.

Aren't a lot of team sales financed? Not like you need a briefcase full of cash

If he goes back, do you really think he and Gilbert kissed and made up?    Gilbert's dangling goodies somewhere.

Yes, I think he goes back. And I suppose he can get a minority stake. Still don't see him ever owning. NBA franchise values will EXPLODE after 2016's new TV deal. The Clippers went for 2 billion after all.
