He dominated NJ highschool ball, so the skill is there, I'm pretty happy about this signing

DeJuan Blair?     He's a Pittsburgh kid.

Underrated player. Solid backup big. Makes more sense than Blair, IMO.

they lost a 3 who excelled on defense and replaced him with an elderly scorer and a back up big- not seeing any upgrade here

Humphries is way better than Booker, and you have to factor in growth for Wall, Beal and Porter.

Agree.
Lebron Heat jerseys were 30 off at the mall today. You want me to pick one up for you?

On a serious note Heat should be ok next year with wade, bosh, deng and mcroberts.  Napier looked awful in the summer league game tnite.

crap, only 30% off?! I have the replica version of his and an authentic Wade. Going to try to get some Lebron autographed stuff on discount from dealers down in Miami though.

Yeah, well still be a contender in the east. Besides Bosh and our young bench guys, we have a clean cap in 2016, so well start signing for the fences in FA as soon as next summer.

I think, at least for one year, Pierce and Humphries will be an upgrade over Ariza and Booker.

Pierce isn't an elite defender anymore, but he can handle most SFs and PFs. He allows us to create mismatches and get different combinations of players on the floor. I think we'll be an even more entertaining team next season.

True; Pierce also played alot last year at the 4 and Randy can do that with him again this year if he wants to go smaller.
Also, we will have Gooden for the entrie year and maybe Harrington who appears to want to collect a paycheck for another year.
We will miss Ariza's defense and threes on those breaks.

The defense is a huge loss. In the playoffs they managed to clamp down on the bulls (the bulls had a lot to do with that too) as well as the Pacers at times.

That was 99% of my knowledge about him. The other 1% was that he played basketball but wasn't a star.
