Kurt Suzuki is still batting .305, fyi.
Why didn't they sign him as a FA in the offseason? 1 year - $2.75 Million. Instead we got Lobaton and had to give up Nate Karns (He's struggling as a starter in AAA, needs to move to pen).

He would have gotten to start at least half a season here with Ramos always getting injured. He should have known that from 2012.

But he didn't know that. He wanted to go some place that would give him a starter's spot, not a back up.

Unknown.

First, he knew that Ramos would be out for most of the season because Ramos.  Rizzo didn't even attempt to resign him.  Rizzo did very little work at backup catcher this offseason.

I think Stanton's the better player, but when it comes to playing the Nats, Freeman scares me more.
