All of this is fine and dandy but the fact that we have 6 games left with them makes these probabilities much less meaningful. If we had no more games with our closets pursuer you could play the "if we go .500, they would have to go....." and it would make more sense. If we just split 3-3 with Atlanta it's over. In fact, if we go 2-4 it's probably too much for them to catch us as well.
Pressure is really on them to practically sweep and that ain't happening. I think if the Nats take the first game, they deflate and fold unless they seem themselves as still fighting for a wild card.If the Nats go 17-7 like some are predicting, then the Barfs have to go undefeated, right?
