The World Series Winner ...

Our experts say the Nationals and Dodgers are the two teams most likely to win this year's World Series.

Our last 24 games are 17 W, 7 L

If the Nats go 12-12 the rest of the way the Barfs would have to do what just to tie? 18-6?

All of this is fine and dandy but the fact that we have 6 games left with them makes these probabilities much less meaningful.  If we had no more games with our closets pursuer you could play the "if we go .500, they would have to go....." and it would make more sense.  If we just split 3-3 with Atlanta it's over.  In fact, if we go 2-4 it's probably too much for them to catch us as well.

Pressure is really on them to practically sweep and that ain't happening. I think if the Nats take the first game, they deflate and fold unless they see themselves as still fighting for a wild card.

If the Nats go 17-7 like some are predicting, then the Barfs have to go undefeated, right?

Magic number is 17, so if the Nats go 17-7, the Boobs have to go undefeated and then travel back in time and un-lose a game they already refused to lost.

The braves have to make up 1 game per remaining series to secure a tie for the division.

Alex Wood clutch 2 out 2 run single. That will seal the game. Wood was 2/34 prior that AB.

3-0 Braves. Lead cut to 6 games.

How does he hit a game winner in the top of the 10th before the Marlins bat?

With these 2 losses to the Phillies we now dropped into a tie for best record in NL.  Soriano is to blame, yesterday's loss was a total hangover loss.  Don't look now but we are staring at a matchup with St. Louis in the NLDS.

You're pleased, I'm sure.

We should ban Barfs fans from this board during the series this week.
