That's almost impossible. Dodgers want to give all of their studs extra rest. So Braves face crap ass Correia, Carmona, Haren, and then one good pitcher in Ryu.

I thought it was kind of impossible too, I mean a 5 man rotation means they should have to face at least one of Kershaw or Greinke, I'm curious now if there is an official reason given why one of those pitchers is apparently skipping a start?

Clearly it's because the other teams are in collusion against the Nats.

Clearly  8)

lol I'm just curious, I don't know if maybe someone is hurt or something? Just seems weird to have a pitcher just arbitrarily skip a start is all.

They haven't had a day off in two weeks and won't have another one until next Monday so they're just trying to find ways to give their arms a little extra rest for the stretch runby going to a 6 man rotation for a couple of rounds.

They want to give their starters extra rest.

From dodgers.com:

Correia will be activated to make this start after his acquisition late Saturday night. While the club hopes for a quality start, he's being used mostly to give the rest of the rotation extra rest.

It's still bullcrap though. Hanley is on the DL, Puig is banged up and may not play, and they are starting a turd tonight who is 5-13 with a 4.94 ERA. :?

They do what they feel is best for their team. They don't owe you or anyone else an explanation. If the Nats take care of business they don't have to concern themselves with expecting charity from other teams. Quit being a freaking nag about it.

how dare they not do their part to help the nats win? They're up 4.5 and they are trying to manage innings, I'm failing to see the problem

They need to beat another playoff contending team. Who knows, they could end up fighting vs Atlanta for a wild card spot. These games are important.

I just don't know how they expect Kevin Correia to beat Julio Teheran.

But they are violating one of the unwritten rules by tanking against a team in a pennant race.

At least I'm pretty sure there's an unwritten rule on that. I'd look it up, but it is unwritten.

Then again, I just wrote, so how can it be unwritten?

I really should ask someone who is a Knight Templar of Unwritten Rules.  Know anyone?

Earvin Santana?  I bet it took some fancy footwork to come up with that.

The Dodgers can hit and the Barves can't?

The Braves are running out of middle infielders. A botched double play by Bonifacio costs them another run.0

Dodgers have scored more regulation innings today than we did the last 2 games combined against the Braves best SP.

Our offense is so pathetic.
