Honestly I thought watching Braves games to make fun of them was allowed.
that's Cope's strategy.

that's Cope's strategy.

But Cope also picks up hot chicks and threatens to fight Barves fans.

Love eggplant parm. We grew our own zuchini and Eggplant in the garden this summer so I have a freezer full of it.

And OF COURSE the Braves go into a slump at the same time as the Nationals.  This team (the Nationals) just can't pull away, even against inferior competition.  It's sickening.  We should be up at least 3.5 games right now, perhaps more.

Everyone on the team, essentially, is hitting below their career OPS.  Span is right on his, and Rendon is in his first full season, so he doesn't count.  Everyone else is underperforming.  Everyone.  Time to fire another hitting coach.  Underachievers, the lot of 'em.  McOUT is more than 200 points below his career OPS.  200 points!!  DFA time.  Pitchers hit better than him.

Werth, LaRoche, Zimmerman, Harper, Desmond, Espinosa, Ramos, Frandsen...wake up!  NO ONE can overachieve?  No one?  No one can even produce to their norm? It's not asking much.  If just half the hitters would put up their normal offense, this team would be running away with the division, if not the league.  You can't blame Rizzo.  He's fielded a team that should win.  Who knew they'd be afraid to?

Wait... you're upset that the Braves are in a slump too?  I agree the Nats are having a hard time pulling away, but first is first.  Why is staying ahead of the Braves sickening?

It's kinda unfortunate that against a soft part of our schedule and the Braves struggling that we can't seem to build more of a lead.

Still as long as we're 3 up in the loss column with 3 fewer games played we're in good shape. If we can win 2/3 of those, that could be enough to win this sorry division.

I hear the frustration, but this team is still a full five games better than the Braves since the start of June. Every team hits cold spells like this.
