Please go get Strasburg. Take him to get an MRI on that elbow. He's due for another visit with Dr. Andrews.

Well, I DVR'd  it, but my DVR froze up right after the inning where Brown homered. So now I'm back up  to speed

THANKOBAMA
It was a website problem because the game was so popular and folks waited to the last minute to view it.

Parnell has a torn MCL apparently, I guess that explains the lack of velocity and why the Nats tee'd off on him.

Doesn't look like Pitch F/X picked it up, probably lumped them in with his curveballs. Too bad I was hoping to see how they compared against others'.

They were picking it up at Citi field, it would show slider on their scoreboard.

Maybe it'll get fixed. I would be interested to compare Strasburg's slider to Zimmermann's.

Mets announcers -- Hernandez and Darling -- thought that Strasburg had lost some speed on his fastball, become a more hittable pitcher. That was about the 2nd inning. Said that a few years ago, batters didn't want to face Strasburg because his 99 mph fastball and sharp curve made guys look silly. Conclusion: he's not the same pitcher. By the time he left, they were talking about how many Mets Strasburg had struck out, how many outs he had gotten in a row.

HP ump was very "generous".
