he will have a monster post season, winning the World Series MVP. He should be hitting 5th, harper at 6 makes no sense. desmond with his high slugging, low OBP should be behind the guys who do get on base

Harper was moving into position, btw. Then Span sorta slung it into left and Harper had to readjust. Wasn't really anything he could do on that one.

Where the hell was he on Panik's triple.
Span should have caught it.  It bounced off the heel of his glove.   If I'd been the scorer it would have been an error.  Still, Harper's effort on that was pathetic.

The Harper haters never cease to look for every little thing to nitpick. He was got there as soon as he could. He also tracked down a couple of fly balls where he really had to go a ways.

Same lineup today except for pitcher.

Next year without LaRoche I could see it being Werth/Face/Harper in the 3-5.

Not yet, but I understand he will bring peace to the Middle East during the offseason.

It isn't a nitpick. His job on that play is to assume that Span will not catch the ball and to put himself in the best position to get to it.  He failed. (And please don't tell me that he anticipated the ball bouncing off the wall and  going 60 feet.)

His job is to anticipate the ball bouncing off the wall. He got there as quickly as he could from what I saw.

Telling you, he needs to move to third. Would solve a lot of headaches.
I actually agree with that. He would make an excellent 3rd baseman.

A left-handed third baseman has to turn around on every play to throw to first.
