i'm hoping something is in the works for Grabovski. Haven't heard anything at all from anywhere. Maybe that means McPhee is the only one interested and we all know he doesnt leak anything

team is worse than last year, new tougher division, every one of our competitors improved this offseason, our entire season is relying on a 21-year-old russian to come over in march and save the season

things are looking up!

The photo that is making the rounds of Justin Bieber in a tank top hugging the Stanley Cup makes me wish for another great fire in Chicago.

Disgraceful.

Alzner re-signs. Four years, $11.2 million (cap hit $2.8 million). Steal of a deal.

The major fault lines are truly in the wrong part of the country.

It's a big improvement over the old Caps Center.  That place was a heaving catastrophe.

So this year's "Heritage Classic" is Ottawa @Vancouver in BC Place (a domed stadium).  Outdoor hockey, indoors!  Brilliant!!  They should have at least played it in Ottawa, maybe on the Rideau Canal.

There are 6 outdoor games scheduled this year including the one postponed from last year at Ann Arbor.
5 out of 6 actually played outdoors should work!

BC Place is now a retractable roof rather than a fixed dome.

I did not know that - well, they had better have it open, pouring rain be damned!

BC Place is now a retractable roof rather than a fixed dome.

...in the meantime, what is the matter with the BumperBoards (the number-one independent Caps fan site)...I haven't been able to log on there since Thursday.

Glad I'm not the only one to have trouble. I suspect, but do not know and am reluctant to speculate because it feels like gossip, that Bumper is probably preoccupied with her son's situation and doesn't have as much time to focus on site maintenance.
