Sutcliffe has me freaking out.

You never want to see a pitcher shaking his arm like that.

So this season so far we've got posters dismissing Strasburg and Zimmerman.  Lord help Harper if he slumps.
No crap.

Our "I didn't know the Nats exists before 2011" crowd has been miserable. We used to have a funny group of negative folks (spider, pc, hammonds,  sf) but now every post is a variation of "STRASBURG IS wussy!", "DFA LAROCHE", "TRADE ZIMMERMAN", etc

Strasburg's "off" range is too wide to be an ace.  An ace has a narrower rage of being off.  It shouldn't look like this for an ace.

Why ?

Stras keeps shaking his arm. And it's been getting more frequent as the game has gone on. As another poster said, you never want to see a pitcher shake his arm like that.

Yeah, this year could be really interesting for him.  I doubt he's really faced any true struggles, other than injury.  His body language isn't all that encouraging when he doesn't get the calls he wants or when things go wrong.

His pitches flat out aren't as good as before his injury.   He's lost 2-5 mph off the fastball, the curve doesn't bite as much, the changeup is not as controllable.  I think he's lost some of his touch, not to mention velocity.  Fortunately he's got plenty of velocity to win and he can get his touch back with reps.

He'll be fine assuming he remains healthy,

Tony Cingrani did that several times during the game on Sunday. Didn't hinder him.

10th hit of the night for the Nats.

Would be nice to see LaRoche lay a bunt down third base line for hit here.
