Not your typical 3rd game of the preseason. Grossman, Nield, Golston and Doughty starting.

Preparing for the Lions after playing the Eagles and Packers.    This is your new starting lineup.     :poke:

Like what I see from the FSU rookie rb Thompson. If he can be trusted to return kicks, might be a good fit out of the pistol offense. Reed looks like Fred Davis.

Is it weird that I'm geeked that we actually might have a legit kicker?

:lmao:  Yes but we already knew that you're weird. Thompson does look decent but he has put the ball on the turf in both games in which he saw action and that's a concern.

considering how many games crape kicking has cost this team recently, no

damn... I was afraid of that.

yeah, I know I'm weird but its nice to not have to hold your breath for any kick outside of 30yds

Ball control is a must but I think he can make a solid contribution. May he our kr/pr now.

its preseason. The defense is pretty vanilla so I imagine he may look "meh". To me it's not a big deal as I'd rather that than look like pile of steaming feces. I just want him to be healthy week 1, piss on preseason. As I've said before, Orakpo on his own isn't elite. Add Kerrigan and the stout line play and he's a much more dangerous pass rusher. The sum of the parts is greater than the individuals.

Only people on defense looking great in the preseason are Rambo, Amerson, and the Dline. Sure, Rambo looked like ass last preseason game and Amerson look "okay" this one but all together, they have impressed me.

Brian Orakpo is a my favoritest player ever, so no talking crap about him. We need him and Kerrigan to tear it up. The front 7 is a solid bunch, but the secondary is awful. If Orakpo and Kerrigan, along with Jackson after suspension, can get after the passer maybe it will allow Haslett to drop more guys back into coverage instead of having to throw everyone at the passer.

The secondary can't be worse than last season, can it?

Its possible they'll be worse but more likely from growing pains than poor talent. Rambo and Amerson are upgrades but obviously they'll need time to improve. A good pass rush will mask some of their deficiencies. Losing Crawford sucks big time but that has more to do with Wilson and Hall than him being a stud.

I look at this as a growing season before destroying people next season. We have a solid team, just need to plug in some more pieces in the secondary and more depth in the front 7. Can't wait to get that cap money back.

The fun thing about this season? I think we have a better team than last season and that team went 10-6. We have a quarterback in RGIII who we know can do some big things. If he's healthy and clicking then anything is possible. If the worst happens and he can't go then we can still win some games with KC1.

I think Crawford has potential. This injury is unfortunate and he's losing a year of development.

:lmao: @ Smithian in love with Orakpo. I hope he can catch up to the hype that has followed him here from Texas but I doubt it. He's been a limited player with predictable moves who can be handled by decent linemen. But the Redskins definitely need him to step up and he becomes a free agent next season so he needs to help himself.

28.5 sacks in his first three seasons and to quote Jim Haslett; "All I know is we had 41 sacks in 2011, and 32 sacks last year, and there's a reason for that.''

He's a stud. :az:

About the only time I wanted to kick MDS' ass was when he spent so much time trolling this thread.  :whip:  I'm sure if Grossman got into an actual game he would have to return to freak with us.  :hang:  But mitlen is cool.

No one in particular but he says he was a Bears fan at one point. I dogged him for being an jerk troll when he admitted that he didn't really watch the NFL and only recently started to watch games. He just hates the Redskins because of the coverage they get in our area. I told him that's how a lot of NFL cities are like. But another reason he hates the Redskins is because of Rex Grossman. The fool bet a bundle on the Bears to beat the Colts in the SB a few years ago and he blames Grossman for his loss.  :lmao:

Eh, we'll see if he does this year. Kerrigan is the better player still in my opinion.

Who actually doesn't think RGIII will be starting week 1?
