why should three knee injuries have any bearing on Merriweather (if the league gets their way, there will be a lot more blown ACLs since defenders will start going low)

The way Freeman looked last night (and it was much more than just not having been there very long, most of his passes were dreadful) it's a horrible indictment on Ponder that they refused to go to him in relief when the game was still within reach. But the turning point of the game was the dropped pick six by the CB and on the very next play the same player fumbles the punt to hand the Giants the game.

Trent Richardson is proving to be incredibly overrated and the Browns are looking like geniuses for moving him for a 1st. Granted, it'll probably be a very late first, but they will have a lot of flexibility at the draft.

Yeah no matter what he ends up being for the Colts they got what amounts to an average RB season plus a mid to late draft pick for the 3rd overall pick in the draft.

But better than cutting him four years later and getting nothing. browns always have had troubles drafting It will be interesting to see what they come up with next year.

It was a case of the new regime trying to get some value for a guy from the prior regime they didn't want.
