I really don't care about this. It would be cool to see him at least support some of the other teams but I that's up to him. I really don't care if he does or not. And when I say support, I mean at least show up to a Wizards game or something at some point. I remember seeing John Wall at a Terps game last year. It was pretty damn cool (and weird - I mean the dude was in Kentucky the year before that and he's watching another college team!?)

It would be cool if he learned how to keep his mouth shut. You don't hear Morse and Werth talking this.kind of crap. That's all I ask. Work hard, keep your mouth shut and.don't alienate your current fanbase. You're a few years away from getting your payday from the Yankees.

I hear what you're saying but its not like he said "go freak yourselves dc/maryland/virginia". All he did was say that he won't root for the teams in the area. Isn't that why sports are so awesome? We can judge people on who they root for without it really mattering. He did say he'll support the Nationals, which is pretty much the main thing we should all care about in the end.

Are there even any serious Wizards supporters? I for one hate the Redskins (mainly because of Dan Snider)

Saying "I hate those Redskins.  Hah" is definitely in that ballpark.

Uh, no ... He said he hated the Redskins. Not something you should say in this area and expect to keep.fans.

Seriously, this isn't the first time his mouth has run away on him. His ego is writing checks his body can't cash yet. He didn't exactly light it up in Double A.

I know he has a ton of.talent, but he is matching it with his arrogance and stupidity. Attitude like this will ensure he spends another year in he minors.

I really don't care that he doesn't like our local teams. I just find anyone over the age of ten who is a bandwagon fan of teams from all over the country shady. He strikes me as the type of spoiled person (and he's not unique in this) who made sure he was always on the stacked team on the playground.

He's not saying he doesn't like them. He's saying hate.

That's basically like he.came in here and said he was a phillies fan.

Duke? Really? On people I know that like.Duke are raging douchebags.

I care because he's not Mike Bacsik, he's arguably the top prospect in baseball, and this kind of talk doesn't do much to dispel the thought that he's already counting down his days in DC.

i doubt it ... i was a stud on the blacktop in hoops and played football through high school against good talent (Vernon Davis, Josh Cribbs, Byron Westbrook, others).

This.

Honestly, in 2015 or 2016 Rizzo isn't tying to trade him for a truck load of prospects, he's failed miserably. Harper will bolt for free agency the first chance he gets. He'll end up with the Yankees.

so what ... maybe he comes to DC and starts loving the caps or wizards?

everything has to be so politically correct these days, it's pathetic.

For cripes sakes, I've been a Redskin fan all my life and even I hate those mother freakers now.

What is it with people? Why isn't it enough that the players you root for are exceptional at their craft? Why do they also have to be Mother Frickin Theresa too?

Bryce is a dick, so what, it's not like it matters.

You know who else is a dick?

Michael Jordan
Kobe Bryant
Lebron James
Manny Ramirez
Pedro Martinez
Arod
.
Etc. etc.,

Who gives a crap?  All I want Bryce to do is to win baseball games for the team I root for.  I could not care less who he roots for.

Why are people speculating what is going to happen 5-6 years from now? This team could be coming off of a World Series title which would go a long way in changing Bryce's preconceived dream team.

It's sort of annoying that he gloms onto the most marketable team in each sport to be a fan of, as opposed to support his home teams.  I guess he likes being a "winner".

Yes, but is that all there is?
