Saw "The Iron Lady." Meryl Streep is amazing, of course, and Jim Broadbent is great too, but if I had to summarize the film in one word, it would be "irritating." All the actual history/politics are shoehorned into voiceovers and montages, and the director has a stupid fetish for having characters on screen be tight-lipped and silent while they say things on the sound track. Oh, and the flashbacks were handled awfully. She is in her living room... sees a statue with a soldier on it... boom! Flashback to the Falkland War. Give me a break.
