Why would ANYONE WITH ANY SEMBLANCE OF BASEBALL KNOWLEDGE want to move the guy?

Hence why Lorbison keeps suggesting it.

Hes asking for Pujols type money.  Pujols wasnt worth it and neither is Fielder!  Especially at 275 lbs.!  Unless he hits far hell never make it to base!

Unless he asks for less, forgetta bout it!

People are calling into XM and saying the Nats shouldn't sign Fielder cause it makes them like the Skins and Caps.

Unreal.

PANatsFan and TD using different names and disguising their voices.

No one is going to give him 10 years. I think that's obvious and they must know it already. This article may be the Lerners using Blidsin to paint a picture that absolves them from spending money.

I gave up a week ago.  I'm just preparing myself for the Lerner apologists once Fielder signs with someone else on a team friendly contract.  Can't wait to hear how ol' Marky Mark the Miser spends this one.

They've had at least 2-3 months to write up a convincing statement as to why they didn't sign Fielder. What we'll get, though, is probably something like "blah blah blah second best offer!"

There is no legitimate baseball argument that can be made that proves Fielder doesn't make the Nats a better team. None.

being fat hasn't hurt his durability or numbers, other fatties this team has seen have been terrible (fat ronnie) or fragile (meat hook)

Where can I hear this?  I might have to get XM just to listen to this nonsense and to call in.  Maybe I can start all of my calls as:

"This is Marcus from DC, I'm a Semite, hate the Lerners, think they're misers and want this team to win before I die of old age."

You mean you're an "alter cocker"

There's beef and there's fat and out of shape.  Of the three you mentioned on Da Meat Hook was the latter, the other two are husky-beefy guys (though Belliard had fits of fat).

Zimmerman loses so much value at first...ridiculous

So there's hope for an extension?

Please lock this thread. The party is over. For real. Nats aren't and were never the frontrunners for Prince. It made zero sense for many reasons.

Time to focus our attention on Cespedes who will actually fill a position of need.

The Nats aren't interested in Fielder. Ladsund is an idiot but the reasons he gave on why they won't sign him are legit. He doesn't fit what Rizzo is looking for, not at all. We aren't getting him.

And yet, you keep posting...and posting.........and.... posting.

I'm not sayin' but wasn't their similar talk about Dunn before they signed him?  I remember the Nats saying the asking price was too high, and he had their offer for a long time before he signed.

Yep, Dunn begged the angels to offer him anything comparable to what he got here, they said no, he gave up and and signed here
